Parking: LONG-STAY

Please note there is no dedicated parking directly at 2 Tandy Place as it is a pedestrian-friendly zone. However, there are several reliable options nearby:

  • Queen Elizabeth Multi-Storey Car Park: Located a 5 minute the venue.

  • Street Parking: Available on Wallis Road (please check local signage for rates and time limits).

  • Westfield Stratford City: Extensive parking available (approx. 10-15 minute walk or use bus for short 5-minute ride to venue).

We recommend using Parkopedia or Google for the most accurate, real-time parking availability. We suggest allowing 10–15 minutes to find a space and walk to the studio so you can arrive relaxed and ready to dance!

your questions? answered!

  • Comfort is key! We recommend breathable gym wear, leggings, or joggers. For footwear, please ensure they have a pair of clean, comfortable trainers. No sandals, boots, or "party shoes," as we want to keep those ankles safe while they move!

  • Not at all. Our programs are designed to meet them where they are. We focus on the foundations of the styles, so everyone can find their rhythm at their own pace.

  • Modern African Dance styles are various dance forms from the continent of Africa, popularly referred to as “Afro Dance”.

Africa is a vast and diverse continent with 54 countries and a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and traditions. As a result, there are countless dance styles that vary significantly from region to region, with some gaining more global recognition than others.

Dance styles include and are not limited to Azonto, Naija Fusion, Amapiano, Afrohouse, Coupé-Décalé, Ndombolo, Ntcham and many more.

  • To help the dancers focus and build independence, we usually recommend a "drop and collect" approach. However, we know some younger children (Year 3–5) might be nervous for their first time. If your child needs you there to settle in, just let us know!

  • We love seeing families dance together! If you are booking for two or more siblings, use the code YDP10 at checkout (for any year group) to receive 1/3 off your total booking.

  • Inclusivity is at the core of what we do. When you book, you’ll find a section to tell us more about how we can best support your child. We keep this information confidential and use it to ensure our instructors can tailor their teaching to your child's needs.

  • Just a labeled water bottle and plenty of energy! We take regular breaks to stay hydrated and keep the vibes high.
