The Afro Dance Cypher is a Dublin-based freestyle event. It’s an open space for dancers of all levels to come together, experiment, and exchange through movement.

Stepping into a circle or battle can bring pressure and self-doubt. That frustration of knowing you have more to give is something many of us share. This cypher event exists to provide an open, supportive environment where growth happens through repetition, presence, and community.

Whether you’re working on your freestyle (like me), preparing to battle, or just enjoy being in social, creative spaces, this circle is for you.

And for the first time ever, we’re bringing the vibes to LONDON!!!

Founder of Afro Dance Cypher

As the founder of Afro Dance Cypher,

I created this space to bring the community together through movement, energy, and exchange.

I’m passionate about freestyle and constantly pushing myself to try become more confident and free.

I realised there’s no better way to train and improve than in a fun, friendly cypher environment.

I was taking classes and freestyling at home, but I craved the natural setting where street dance styles truly thrive: the circle. The cypher is where dancers sharpen their skills, build confidence, challenge each other, and connect in real time.

Afro Dance Cypher is more than a session, it’s a community space to have fun, exchange, and elevate together.
